TRAINING ACTION: Environmental management in aggregate and natural stone mines
April 24-25, 2025
The extractive industry is making a significant effort to apply the basic principles and concepts of sustainable development in its open-pit mining operations and treatment plants.
The aggregate and natural stone sectors provide a service to society by supplying these natural resources which, due to their numerous applications, both in industry and, above all, in construction, are essential for economic development.
The integration of environmental, social and economic aspects, in the different stages of the extraction process, of treatment to obtain aggregates with the required quality standards and of transport to consumption centers, highlights the determination of this industry to improve, day by day, in achieving the established objectives.
The development of the training action aims to provide employees in the sector with the necessary knowledge to achieve efficient environmental management of resources on farms and the benefits of proper environmental management of the farm, as well as the mechanisms to achieve efficient environmental management.
