TRAINING ACTION: Circular economy applied to construction works
16-17 January 2025
The high rates of resource consumption in the construction sector, responsible for 50% of both the materials extracted and the consumption of the energy used, 25% of the water consumed, as well as more than 25% of the waste generated by society, make the sector one of those identified within the five priority areas of action by the Spain Circular Strategy 2030.
The circular economy is the new productive model towards which the current type of linear consumption is derived. The construction industry in Castilla – La Mancha is a key and essential agent to advance in the transition towards the circular economy.
The circular economy strategy in construction means lower costs, greater and better security of supplies, greater proximity to end users and, in general terms, more and better business opportunities in the sector.
The development of the training action aims to bring the student closer to the application of the circular economy model to building works, for the best management and use of resources and construction systems according to their life cycle.
